BREAKING NEWS! Details on Austin's New Film Project: "The Boxer and the Kid"
Source: BCLocalNews.com

Professional wrestling icon ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin was in Mission shooting a movie on Saturday.
He is working on a project called The Boxer and the Kid, a film about a janitor who helps a kid who is being bullied at school. Some Mission locations and people could find their way into the film.
They filmed at the Mission harbour in the morning, and spent the afternoon with local boxers.
Dale Gatin operates the Mission City Boxing Club, and said the locations scout liked the fact that the local gym is a little rough around the edges.
“They wanted a gritty type of gym, not fancy or anything,” said Gatin. “And it doesn’t hurt that we’re down by the train tracks.”
Some local boxers found their way into the movies.
Austin Stubel plays Stone Cold’s character as a younger man in one scene. And Gatin plays a referee raising Matt McIntosh’s arm after a scene where he just beat the young Austin.
There could also be scenes with Allana Fejde in the background working boxing bags.
“They got to meet Steve Austin and shake his hand, and get a photo with him. It was fun for the kids,” said Gatin, adding that the rental of the building will pay half a month’s rent for the club.
He briefly mentioned this is his last interview with Pro MMA Radio. Excited much?

Austin in WatchTime Magazine Info...
Austin is featured in the July issue of WatchTime Magazine.

Inside the magazine:
Here's a quote from a reader:
I will have scans this weekend!!!

Inside the magazine:
Managing Editor Mark Bernardo profiles wrestler-turned-actor “Stone Cold” Steve Austin – a tough guy with a collection of rough-and-tumble luxury watches.
Quote from Austin: "I approach watches like a new pair of shoes: You're going to bang that thing sooner or later and that first scratch hurts!"
Here's a quote from a reader:
I found several things interesting about Austin. While he said he always loved Kobold watches, he was hesitant to purchase them via the internet. Apparently, his manager is a watch lover as well and got Michael Kobold to make a watch especially for one of Austin's recent films. So, now Austin owns two Kobold's - both Arctic Divers.
One of the most interesting things about the article was Austin's perspectives on owning timepieces. Although he says he can buy almost any watch he wants, he limits himself to watches costing less than $10,000 - a perspective I share out of necessity . Austin has a great collection of watches.
I will have scans this weekend!!!

Website Announcement - 07/18/2010
Okay guys,
I finally decided to open the website, but it will be displayed with a temporary layout until I get my new layout done. I will probably shut down the website again until it's up. I hope to have it all up by sometime in August.
ComicCon is this week, so I am sure there will be LOTS of updates.
This weekend, I may be a bit absent because I have a family reunion coming up, so I will update when I can.
Thanks for the support, and let me know what you think, or if you have any issues!!!
You can access the website at http://steveaustinweb.com (you can also reach it but using the WWW too).
You can still apply for affiliates.

News Haul - 7/16/2010
In the Baltimore Sun's Ring Posts column, Kofi Kingston was interviewed by Kevin Eck. He was asked about turning heel. Here's what he had to say...
Wondering which new NXT Rookie Austin likes?
According to Inside Pulse Wrestling via F4WOnline.com... it's HUSKY HARRIS!
Both Ross and Austin were telling people at the UFC that they’re big fans of Husky Harris, the NXT rookie.
I know that you played a heel at one point before coming to WWE. Have you thought about tapping into that side of your persona in the future?
Who knows what the future holds? People talk about good guys and bad guys but over the past few years the line has really kind of been blurred. Back in the day somebody like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would definitely have been perceived as a bad guy, and that was not the case when “Stone Cold” was around, so who knows how the WWE Universe is going to react to you? I think as far as me being a good guy or a bad guy it’s really kind of up to the WWE Universe and how they perceive me. As long as they keep liking me, I guess we’ll go that route, but you never know what the future holds.
