Awesome News... Well, Atleast I Think So! And More...

I posted this via TwitPic.com & Twitter a few days ago, and after 2 days (yeah I know, #FAIL! but my Internet connection was pissed off at me for some unknown reason and didn't want to cooperate, and we had a few weather problems here in Florida - but anyway), I thought this was truly newsworthy so here goes:

STEVE AUSTIN IS NOW OFFICIALLY FOLLOWING STEVEAUSTINWEB.COM ON TWITTER... I was lucky #31 (really!?) to be followed by the Texas Rattlesnake himself! Cool, hun?

Thanks for supporting the website, Steve!

Yeah, it's been a slow news week (well, 2), but Steve did mention that he was heading back to LA on the 6th of December & that's he's ready to head to the BSR! Still shooting "Hangar 14" in Vancouver.

Breaking News: Austin To Return in the EXPENDABLES 2??? + Spoiler (Sorry!)!!!

Source: CinemaBlend.com

According to several reports, Austin will be in Sly's Expendables sequel (hmmmm, really?)!!!

The Expendables was such a smash hit that Sylvester Stallone is already planning Expendables 2. This time around we’re certain to get a lot more of Bruce Willis than just a cameo, and he seems excited to become a full time member of the group. So excited that Bruce spent the weekend talking up the possible sequel while out promoting his new movie Red. When Coming Soon asked him for Expendables 2 details Willis said, “I talked to Sly and he's going for all the marbles this time, and he's going to get everybody in this time.” Exactly who “everybody” is remains to be seen but Stallone’s been vocal about wanting to get more of Schwarzenegger and he’d probably like to get Seagal and Van Damme involved too. They turned him down on the first film.

Apparently everybody even means people who were in the first film, but didn’t make it to the end credits in one piece. Yep, Stone Cold Steve Austin will be back for more. In the first film Stone Cold Steve Austin played one of the bad guys fighting against Stallone and his motley cadre of action movie icons. Up against such an unstoppable force, Austin was of course, doomed to lose. He took two bullets in the process of trying to stop the good guys, but Bruce Willis says that bullets aren’t an obstacle and Stone Cold will be back too, assuming they “start shooting it while we're young enough to survive.” Everyone knows real men can’t be killed by gunfire.

Austin kinda hinted around to a fan who gave their thoughts on his "doom" in the film. he could have just been messing around though:

I could have swore he got burnt up in the film (Oops! Spoiler!). So now, he got shot... Maybe I missed something... Eh... Hollywood. But I will have to wait and see if it's true or not. The article just doesn't make any sense to me. Oh well, stay tuned...

Austin Guilty Over Sly's Neck Break?

Source: The Press Association

Steve Austin feels understandably guilty about breaking Sylvester Stallone's neck.

The Rocky star was left with a hairline fracture in his neck after a fight scene with the former wrestler for their new film, The Expendables.

"I've told him I was sorry a hundred times already. I don't know if he's forgiven me or not," Steve admitted at the Hollywood premiere of the movie.

"I didn't want to hurt anybody but I ended up breaking Sly's neck in a fight scene, I never knew I'd broken his neck until a few months later when he had it fixed," he explained.

He added: "I don't know if he drinks beer - the guy's a fitness fanatic - but I'll sure buy him a beer if he wants one!"

Steve told reporters how he had quickly felt at ease with the Rambo star.

"I'd never met Sly before, but it was like talking to an old friend. We had a lot of common ground," he said.

He explained: "When he got behind the camera that was the cool thing for me, that's when you get to see the artistic Sly which I never knew existed."

Steve Austin Battles Ice Storm

Source: ProWrestling.net

Dutch Mantel's latest blog features a road story regarding an ice storm that he and Steve Austin battled while traveling to a show in the early '90s. "I knew that there was no way the matches would be held that night," Mantel recalled.

"But, like the idiots we were, we continued the journey since we were very close to the Mid South Coliseum. As we pulled into an iced over backstage parking lot, we saw the King, Jerry Lawler was getting into his car. He told us that the matches had been canceled. No s**t? Really? I didn't see any of the other guys in the parking lot or their cars so it seemed as though some of those guys had more sense than Steve and I did and decided not to come.

"We were pissed off. Steve and I were cussing up a storm. The trip had already turned into a trip from hell and it didn't seem to be getting any better. We had driven 230 miles only to be told that the matches were off due to a situation that they had known about hours earlier. Hell, an idiot savant could have told them that.

"Thinking back on it now, I'm sure Lawler was the one who originally said that the Memphis area would be fine and the matches were a go. It was fine for Lawler, who lived in Memphis, because he only had about 20 minutes to his house. But for those of us who lived in Nashville, it was a major mistake. I didn't know who I was working for. A wrestling company or the US Mail Service?" To read the full blog, visit TheWorldAccordingToDutch.com.

Powell's POV: Yes, the duo made it to the show, but they still had to travel back home...in an ice storm...with a bad defroster. Although he was an early mentor to Austin, he admitted that he learned something from the student. Anyone who is familiar with the "Stone Cold" character won't be too surprised by what that lesson was, but it's a another fun, crazy story from Dutch.

Austin on Hogan's TNA "Wishlist"

Source PWTorch.com & NY Daily.

The New York Daily News published a story today on Hulk Hogan telling a fan at a book signing that he hopes to bring in Steve Austin, Randy Savage, RVD, and the Nasty Boys tag team to TNA, while also re-starting the Monday Night Wars against WWE.

"I wish to talk to Rob Van Dam, who is considering returning to the ring, and convince him to join TNA," Hogan said, according to the newspaper. "Plus I'm also wishing to contact ex-Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Macho Man Randy Savage."

The newspaper reports Hogan mentioned an idea for TNA programming on Monday nights against WWE Raw, which was one of the initial rumors when the Hogan-TNA partnership was announced a few weeks ago.

Hogan also claimed he "considered for months" guest-hosting Raw from Madison Square Garden, which takes place this coming Monday, until he "sealed the deal" with TNA.

What Happens When You Punch Stone Cold in the Face...

Nov. 5th 2008
Source: TMZ.com

This is what happens when Stone Cold Steve Austin punches you in the face ... for real.

Stone Cold accidentally clocked MMA fighter Paul Lazenby while filming a movie called "Damage." Steve felt so badly about throttling Lazenby's face and giving him black eyes and a broken nose, he mugged for this shot of the two of them -- sling, ice pack, and all.

Austin, needless to say, wasn't actually hurt.

Lazenby tells TMZ, "I want to stress that this was NOT a case of negligence or incompetence, just one of those things that can happen even between skilled performers when they're swinging their fists at one another. I don't blame Steve at all."

"He just made a mistake that even the best stunt performers can make (and one of which I'm certainly not innocent). As a guy who's been a stuntman for eight years and a pro wrestler/fighter for 17, I think that I'm a fair judge of ability in those areas and I still rate Steve extremely highly as a film fighter and overall performer. I'd work with him again anytime."

So now you know.
