Hulk Hogan coming to TNA has made every available free agent in wrestling come up in talks of who would appear on the January 4th edition of Impact going live with Raw.
One megastar who has been on the sidelines is Stone Cold Steve Austin, who has made few WWE TV appearances in recent years. There has been speculation that if his longtime friend Jim Ross were somehow ousted from WWE and end up in TNA, that Austin could conceivably do the same.
This is apparently not possible, as Austin is under what’s described as a “high money” contract with WWE with no particular role attached. The thinking from the WWE camp is that if they pay Austin, even just to sit at home and collect merchandise royalties, it is worth the investment.
